Art In The Garden 2010
June 5 th
10:00 am to  5:00 pm
Every year on the first Saturday in June the Augusta Art Guild presents "Art in the Garden".

This premier event takes place on the banks of the Ohio River with 60 very exciting local and regional artists exhibiting along picture-perfect Riverside Drive.

Today, Augusta, KY, located 40 miles east of Cincinnati, Ohio and 90 miles north east of Lexington, KY, is a perfect little river town with a waterfront that has changed little over the past couple of centuries.  The river is the heart of Augusta and the 18TH and 19TH century houses lining Riverside Drive occupy the prize vantage points from which to enjoy the view.
Twenty-one historic homes built between 1790's and the 1890's, are on this street.

They are interspersed with wonderful gardens, and some of these gardens will be open for "Art in the Garden" visitors.
The Augusta Ferry brings cars and people across the Ohio River everyday.  It is one of only two ferries that operates on the Ohio River.

The Art Show also has a wonderful children's venue every year  and a wide array of food vendors.

Each year the crowds have continued to grow.  Last year we estimate that 2,500 people attended the art show.

Applications for artists and food vendors are available on this web site.  This is a juried art show sponsored by the Augusta Art Guild.
