WORKSHOPS
The Augusta Art Guild sponsors workshops throughout the year. Workshops are taught by local and regional artists using a variety of media. Every Tuesday morning, an open workshop is held at the Guild gallery.
EVENTS​
The Augusta Art Guild hold many events throughout the year to promote the arts in our community. In addition to our weekly Tuesday morning workshops and "Art in the Garden" exhibition every June, we award two annual scholarships to students who demonstrate talent in music and the visual arts. Many of our members display their work in solo or group exhibits throughout the year. We also partner with the Ohio River Valley Artist Guild in Maysville, Kentucky (www.orvag.org) for critiques and classes. Below is a listing of our Calendar of Upcoming Events:

March
  • Member meeting on the 6th at 7pm.
  • Barn Quilt workshop on the 13th, 20th, and April 3rd. Participants can create either 2x2 or 4x4 barn quilts. For members, cost is $100 for 2x2 BQ and $180 for a 4x4 BQ. For non-members, cost is $125 for a 2x2 BQ or $225 for a 4x4 BQ. Cost includes all supplies, storage, and a pretty-as-a-picture Country Lodge lunch. Space is limited and reservations are required.   • Cincinnati Ballet visits Augusta Schools and Bracken County High School on March 29th. 10:30am presentation at Augusta is open to the public with a brief luncheon for the company hosted afterwards by Guild members at the Gallery.
  • Monthly critique on March 29th at 7pm in the Gallery. The theme is "Vibrations."
April
  • Member meeting on the 3rd at 7pm.
  • Opening reception for Ken Swinson's "Old Meets New – Traditional Printmaking + Digital Media" show 6 - 8pm. Exhibit ends April 23rd.
  • Budding Artists Exhibit runs April 27th – May 2nd.
